Does exacly what it says on the tin! And if Visual Studio 6 or some other app reinstalls it just run it again. Thanks MS! This utility worked great for me where other methods would not. Many sites said to use the command RunDll32 advpack.
MS Java had been causing me Runtime errors, so I was glad to be able to finally find something to uninstall it. I agree with lordcyber. Microsoft Java VM is a valuable integrated part of my Windows system, but only due to the unfortunate circumstance of bad code here and there. I've still uninstalled it on one of my machines I'm optimistic , and as the program does exactly what it says it will do and has so far yielded no complications, I can rate it nothing lower than a 5.
I am sure there are folks who need or want to use it. I had to track down a copy of the microsoft java machine program so I could install it on a windows xp home SP1A system my company had purchased, as the included sun java simply would not work on certain company websites that the system needs to access on a daily basis. Were it not for people who sloppily code websites without regard to the fact that unless you already have the ms java machine installed or not, I would gladly use sun java instead of microsoft.

You'll need to extract the file to a temporary folder you will be prompted when you run the unmsjvm. Then from the temporary folder you'll need to run the actual tool, which is also called unmsjvm.
