Method 2. You may be put off by the fact that the river stops abruptly where the bridge is placed. If you want to see the water flow below your bridge, look no further! With this method we will be building the bridge one floor above ground. Here you can start out with one connected river because we will be building the bridge above it.

The first thing you should do is to create a room with walls this time! Now that you have two beautiful boxes on either side of the river, go to the room tool and select one of the rooms without walls. Place this room on top of one of these boxes and drag it across the river. The room should have the width of the bridge you wish to create of course. Now that you have the room going across the river you do not need the boxes anymore. Leave only the walls facing the river. From this point on the method is pretty similar to that of the foundation bridge.

Pick out the stairs you want and place them on either side. Then pick out a wallpaper you like I picked a stone wallpaper for this bridge and paint the stairs and the two walls. Remember to put matching floor tiles on top of the bridge as well. Once you have passed these steps, add the fencing and railing just as you did with the other bridge. At this point your bridge should resemble the one in the picture below.

Do you mean an island that is in the middle of the pool? You can use sledgehammer tool to put patches of grass anywhere in the middle of your pool. Then you can build columns on these islands and create a bridge over your pool. If you want to delete parts of the islands, just use the create pool tool to "delete" the grass.
